I chose this performance of "Motherless Child" by Eric Clapton. I did this specific one because I like how soft his voice is which contradicts what we have learned about spirituals and how they are usually sung as loud as possible. I like the performance in general as well, with the guitar playing and the percussion in the back. Overall, I chose it because I like how different it was and also because it sounds good in general!
