“When the Train Comes Along” by David Holt, is a traditional song with a country/bluegrass feel. Holt's use of the lyrics “Doubts and fears will all be gone, gonna meet you at the station when the train comes along”. Stands out in this song, the repetition of the image of the train coming serves to capture the emotion within the lives of the people in the rural South. I chose this song because it illustrates how songs traveled and evolved through the people they encountered. David Holt's version comes with rich storytelling and old-time style.
