Tesar Prompt #2: Communal Music

For my choice of music with a communal sense, my mind went in a few directions; Japanese Taiko drumming was one of them. Taiko drumming is in some ways the opposite of sacred harp singing. It's an athletic sport, often performed by people with years of intense training. However, the audience, as a community, is as mesmerized by the synchronization as the drummers. Similar to what is stated in the video, the primal bangs of the drum is a universal experience of connection. Additionally, the crowd participates with each other as well as with the act by reacting to the simultaneous beats.
