I have already talked about Kanye West a lot in this class. I have listened to him for a while, and until taking this class, didn't realize how spiritual his music is. I've used examples of his music for previous blog posts. I listen to all types of music, but typically when I'm with my friends, we listen to hip hop or rap. I noticed that Kendrick Lamar's music also relates to what we have been studying. Similar to what we have learned about spirituals, he practices lots of religious and political expression.
