Brookes Prompt 12

 One of the biggest take aways I had from the semester is seeing how gospel music constantly adapts to new cultural sounds while still holding onto its spiritual core. No matter what form gospel music takes, it is, at its core, all about worship and expressing faith. That balance between innovation and tradition is what makes gospel music so loved and powerful. My favorite discovery artist of gospel music has been the Gaither Vocal Band because their harmonies and performances show how traditional Southern gospel can feel timeless yet new, carrying the same message of faith in a way that still resonates deeply with me today. A performance that I enjoyed listening to would be their version of “10,000 reasons.”
