That most important takeaway from this course is the history, community, and culture behind gospel music. I had little knowledge about gospel music, and now it has made me realize it is the vessel for other music genres and artists. I have enjoyed learning about the history of gospel, and how it has impacted so many people. A performance I chose was Here I am Lord.
