I think the most important takeaway I’ve had from this course is how influential gospel music truly is. I never really realized how much music I listen to has been inspired by gospel music. As well as how powerful spirituals truly are. My favorite artist I discovered through this class was Blind Willie Johnson. I really liked his song Nobody’s Fault But Mine.
