Ateny Prompt 2: HBCU Marching Bands

I picked HBCU marching bands because they really show how music makes community kinda like shape note singing does. When you watch a halftime show from bands like Southern Human Jukebox or Jackson State Sonic Boom its not just music — it’s the whole group playing and moving as one and the crowd feeding off that energy to. Its about school pride, teamwork and culture and everybody’s part of it wether they in the band or in the stands.
