The spiritual I choose was, "Go Tell It on the Mountain," performed by Zach Williams who is a Christian Rock artist. This song is originally an African American spiritual, documented by John Wesley Work Jr., and is now a staple in Christian churches everywhere. I personally liked Zach's performance because he has a certain way of singing that gives the song a new upbeat feel, and like most of his songs and covers, he includes a lot of energy, even if not presented in the original way of singing that song. This spiritual is a testament of resilience and faith, while also capturing the excitement of the announcement of Jesus' birth.
