Gormley Prompt #4

The song I chose is a cover of "Wade in the Water" by Yona Marie.  I chose this song because I thought it was a cool and different way to preform a song that was originally a spiritual. She changes the tone a lot and adds a lot of modern instrumentals to the back track. I found it to be very catchy and modern whille still using the original lyrics. However I do feel that when the song is performed like this, it loses some of the emotional impacts that the original spiritual has. I think it is harder to hear the emotion when the style of the song has changed so much.
