The soul singer I picked is, Take My Hand, Precious Lord by Rev. Robert Jones. I picked this song because I like how his vocals are very clear but also uses the guitar to emphasis the lyrics and meaning behind the song. Something else that sticks out to me is, how the song feels very prayer like, which allows for deeper connection within the song and meaning. Finally, the lyrics; "Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand. I am tired, I am weak, I am worn." put emphasis on that prayer like feeling, which allows for the audience to truly unite with the song.
