The song is chose is a cover of Roberta Martins song "Didn't it Rain". The person covering it is Sister Rosetta Tharpe. I chose this cover because Rosetta personalizes the music by blending her own style with traditional gospel songs. She plays her guitar and adds emotional intensity to the songs she covers especially this one. She is very passionate when she performs. As you can see in the video she also attracts a large crowd that seems to love her and she connects with the audience.
